The Battle of the Dough is over and there is one clear winner - The Pie Crust!
The Pizza Dough was just too stiff and thin for this. It came out sort of crunchy and hard. The pie dough on the other hand was softer, thicker and tasted better. Also, the pie dough was way easier to work with which made the little guys come out way prettier than their opponent. The only change I made to the pie crust recipe was to use unsweetened applesauce instead of oil.
For the fillings I used steak boiled in Mrs. Dash seasoning, baked sweet potatoes, frozen peas and minced onion. The other filling, which turned out pretty gross, was chicken breast boiled in chicken seasoning, spinach, cherry tomatoes and a little bit of cottage cheese. Definitely won’t be doing that again.
I’m really excited to see what other stuff I can cram into this dough.
