Today was the greatest Valentine’s Day of my life so far. I got flowers, chocolates, cupcakes and candies, all from the fantastic women in my life! Then I got prettied up and went on a dinner date with my best friend. Men better look out, eventually we’ll learn how to synthesize sperm and we won’t need you anymore. =P
My date with Steph was fantastic. We went to dinner at Bella Trattoria in the Mission Inn area of Riverside. It was so beautiful! They had lights strung up in the trees and Mission Inn is always gorgeous and romantic. It was funny too because Steph dressed up a little more casual than me with a button down shirt tucked into jeans with a blazer over it, and everyone thought we were lesbians. The hostess turned to Steph to ask for reservation information even though I was the one who was talking to her and at the bar while we waited for our table we were trying to take a picture and this guy offered to take it for us and said, “You ladies look great together.” and told us to have a great Valentine’s Day. LOL.
Then after dinner we went to Gina’s Cupcakes, which is a famous cupcakery in Mission Inn. They won Cupcake Wars on the Food Network and let me tell you, they deserved it. They had a red velvet coconut cupcake as a special for Valentine’s Day and it was absolutely delicious.
It was a great time but I definitely ate EVERYTHING today. I didn’t say no to one single thing. I ordered a pizza and ate 2/3 of it at dinner and there was copious amounts of candy and cupcakes consumed. I’m not going to log it though. If I log it I will just beat myself up for it and I am having too much of a great day to bother with that mental nonsense. Tomorrow will be back to normal and today will still be the greatest Valentine’s Day I’ve had yet.
Edit: Oh and that chocolate box that says “Feliz dia del amor y la amistad” is the chocolates Steph got me. On the box she wrote “I’m not really sure what this says but I hope it’s ‘Happy Valentine’s Day’!” That cracked me up!
