I walked into the office of my department this morning and said hi to the old lady who is the receptionist there. We wished each other a happy Valentine’s Day and she said, “Yep, I decided to wear red today [pointing at her shirt] even though I’m nobody’s valentine.” I reached into my bag and pulled out an extra bag of conversation hearts I had and told her she could be mine as I handed her the candy. She lit up and started going on about how absolutely sweet I am.
